What is Kindroid?
Kindroid is an AI companion app. You create a character, called a Kin, by setting its name, personality, backstory, appearance and voice. You then talk with it over time through text chat, voice messages, and voice or video calls. Kins can also send selfies and short video selfies.
Kins remember their backstory, key memories you add and past conversations. Subscribers also get Cascaded Memory, which keeps hundreds of recent messages in context. Group chats let several Kins talk together. Rooms, which is in beta, puts friends and their Kins into one shared conversation.
Kindroid runs on iPhone and iPad, on Android and on the web, and one account works on all of them. Users must be 18 or older. The company says chats, audio, selfies and memories are encrypted, support staff can't read chats, and user data isn't sold. Access requires a Standard subscription. Ultra and MAX are optional add-ons.
