What is Shopify Sidekick?
Shopify Sidekick is an AI assistant built into the Shopify admin that answers questions about a store and carries out tasks in it. It can write product descriptions, generate images, summarize performance, create discount codes, draft email campaigns and help with domain setup.
Merchants open it from the admin with the purple glasses icon, and no setup is required. It works from store data, handles multi-step tasks such as editing orders, and presents changes for review before applying them. It can also build Shopify Flow workflows, generate custom apps, and test draft storefront changes with AI-simulated shoppers. Chat is available on desktop and in the Shopify app, along with voice mode and screen sharing.
