Platforms
Lexis+ AI is a legal research and drafting platform from LexisNexis built around Protégé, an AI assistant designed for legal professionals. LexisNexis pages say the product is now called Lexis+ with Protégé, with the rename taking place in early 2026.
Protégé answers research questions with legal summaries drawn from LexisNexis's own content, so users can get an answer without opening individual search results. It drafts motions, briefs and transactional documents and lets users refine them step by step. It can also summarize and analyze long legal documents. Users can upload files to a secure Vault for AI review, connect firm knowledge bases, and link to iManage and SharePoint. A General AI mode gives access to leading AI models inside the legal workspace.
The product fits law firms, in-house legal teams and other legal professionals. LexisNexis states that it never uses customer data to train its AI models.
