What is Knowt?
Knowt is a study platform that turns lecture recordings, PDFs, PowerPoints, images and YouTube videos into notes, flashcards, practice tests and games. It positions itself as a free Quizlet alternative: Quizlet sets can be imported in two clicks and studied with a free learn mode, matching game, spaced repetition and practice tests.
Users upload up to 30 files at once, and the AI assistant Kai generates study materials, answers questions about the content, quizzes students by voice and can turn notes into podcasts. An Exam Predictor builds a study plan from a syllabus and course files. Knowt also has AP, SAT and ACT prep with mock exams, free-response practice and score tracking.
Knowt suits high school and college students, as well as teachers and schools, which get their own plans. It runs on the web, iOS, Android and as a Chrome extension.
