3Commas is a mature crypto automation platform with deep bot configuration, strong TradingView integration and multi-exchange management. QuantPilot shows ambition, but public pages still say early access and give little detail on what it does, so buy it for the automation engine, not the AI pitch.
Best for: Active crypto traders with existing TradingView strategies who want 24/7 automated execution
Read the full review3Commas is a crypto trading automation platform. It connects to exchange accounts such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, Kraken and Coinbase and runs bots that trade on rules you set. It offers DCA, Grid and Signal bots, plus Smart Trade for trailing take profit and stop loss orders and a Terminal for quick manual trades.
You link an exchange through Fast Connect or API keys, build a strategy, backtest it on 1-minute candles with indicators, and then put it live. Signal Bot turns TradingView alerts and Pine Script strategies into automated trades through webhooks. 3Commas says it cannot withdraw funds from connected exchange accounts. The company is also testing QuantPilot, an agent-based platform that builds and optimizes strategies.
The platform fits a range of traders. Beginners get templates and guides, while advanced and API users get high bot limits, futures trading and read/write developer API access on the Expert plan.
Who it's for
Pine Script users can send TradingView signals by webhook to Signal Bot, which then trades long and short positions.
Multi-pair DCA bots scan more than 100 pairs and open deals when your conditions are met.
Backtest bot logic on historical data, or use the demo account to paper trade in current market conditions.
Connect accounts on exchanges like Binance, Bybit and Kraken and control bots and trades from one interface.

3Commas is a crypto trading automation platform that has been running since 2017. You connect an exchange account through API keys, configure a bot with your rules, and it trades around the clock. 3Commas says it has no access to your exchange account and can't withdraw your funds, so assets stay on the exchange while the bots place orders through the keys you issue.
What separates it from a basic limit-order bot is the range of strategy tools. There are three main bot types: DCA, Grid and Signal. DCA bots suit trending markets where you want to average into a position on dips. Grid bots work in sideways markets by placing a ladder of buy and sell orders between two price levels. Signal bots take triggers from TradingView or other webhook-connected services and fire orders when they arrive. Add Smart Trade for manual deals and a Terminal for quick limit and market orders, and the toolkit is wide enough to explain why the platform has outlasted most of its early competitors.
The pricing page lists 9 exchanges on every plan. The homepage names Binance, Hyperliquid, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate, Kraken, KuCoin and Coinbase. Everything runs from one dashboard, which helps if you spread capital across venues.
The headline for 2026 is QuantPilot, 3Commas's AI strategy layer. That's where the open questions are.
3Commas bills QuantPilot as "the first agentic platform where AI builds, tests, and optimizes your strategies end-to-end." The pitch is that autonomous agents handle the lifecycle: idea, backtest, optimize, deploy. The homepage frames it as one AI-trading platform instead of four separate steps.
It launched in early access in April 2026. Six months on, the status is still unclear from public pages. The homepage now carries a "Launch QuantPilot" button, but the same page still says "Get early access and shape the product as it evolves." The pricing and features pages push a free trial for QuantPilot. We found no announcement of general availability, no separate QuantPilot pricing and no documentation of what the agents can and can't do. Until 3Commas publishes those, treat it as a product still in development. The promise is large, and the public evidence for it is thin.
The AI Assistant is harder to pin down. 3Commas's public pages don't describe what it does, and it doesn't appear in the plan features on the pricing page. If the Assistant matters to your decision, ask 3Commas support what it does before paying.
The automation engine is mature. The AI layer isn't proven yet. Buy for the first, and treat the second as an extra you can evaluate during the trial.
The homepage describes a three-step flow: link your exchange account, build and backtest a strategy, then go live. Connections use the official Fast Connect integration or manual API keys.
The depth is in bot configuration. DCA bots expose base order size, safety order size, the maximum number of safety orders, price deviation between orders, take profit and trailing take profit. The homepage also mentions 11 indicators in bot logic, so you can set start conditions such as an RSI threshold or a TradingView signal instead of opening deals immediately. Multi-pair DCA bots monitor 100+ pairs and pick the one that best meets your conditions. That's a smarter use of capital than a single-pair bot.
Smart Trade handles manual deals that need precision. Concurrent take profit and stop loss, trailing versions of both, and multiple take profit targets all sit in one interface. Sell half at one price and the rest higher, for example, without watching the screen.
TradingView is the strongest integration. Pine Script strategies can send signals to Signal Bots by webhook, and 3Commas pitches the Signal Bot for trading long and short positions from the same bot. If you already have a working TradingView alert, the path to a live bot is short. You still need to write or borrow the Pine Script logic, because the platform doesn't write signals for you. That's the gap QuantPilot is supposed to fill.
The homepage shows a mobile app for building, editing and controlling bots. We haven't seen a feature-by-feature comparison with the desktop version, so check that your must-have actions work on mobile before relying on it.
Multi-pair DCA bots. Most DCA bots trade one pair you pick in advance. 3Commas lets you point a bot at a watchlist of 100+ pairs and trade whichever one meets your start condition first. It isn't AI in the modern sense, but it's a better allocation of capital than a single-pair bot.
TradingView webhook execution. A TradingView alert that would normally ping your phone can instead open a deal, manage take profit and stop loss, and close the position. For traders whose edge is in strategy design rather than execution mechanics, this is the best reason to pay.
Backtesting on 1-minute candles. The homepage says backtests run on 1-minute data and that you can optimize using full history. Minute-level data matters because daily or hourly candles hide the intraday swings that decide whether a DCA strategy survives. The homepage doesn't spell out the lookback or monthly backtest limits per plan, so confirm those on the plan comparison before you buy for this feature.

The AI claims outrun the documentation. QuantPilot is marketed as end-to-end strategy building, but we found no public detail on how the agents work, what they cost or how results are verified. Don't buy on that promise.
Grid bots struggle in trending markets. A grid set between $80,000 and $100,000 BTC loses badly if price breaks well outside the range. That's inherent to the strategy, not a 3Commas flaw, but a newcomer picking Grid because it sounds simple should know it.
Pricing pressures small accounts. Futures need Pro, and the bot caps on Starter are tight. A trader with a modest portfolio pays for infrastructure before proving a strategy works.
Support is live chat, with priority routing on Expert. The plan pages mention no email ticket system, which matters if you have a complex API issue that needs a paper trail.
Phone verification at sign-up has come up in user complaints. We couldn't find an official source for it or for any regional blocking, so we've removed that claim. Check the sign-up flow for your country.
Handing exchange API keys to any third party is a trust decision. 3Commas says it can't withdraw your funds. Keep withdrawals disabled on the keys you issue and restrict by IP where the exchange allows it.
The best fit is a trader with a strategy or a firm hypothesis who wants consistent execution: someone comfortable with technical analysis who misses entries or closes early under pressure. If you already run Pine Script strategies on TradingView, the Signal Bot integration alone justifies Pro. Multi-account traders get the most from Expert.
Skip it if you're brand new to crypto trading. The bots do what you configure, and a badly set DCA bot in a falling market averages down into losses efficiently. Skip it too if you want a hands-off AI that takes a risk tolerance and runs everything. QuantPilot aims at that, but the public evidence doesn't show it's there. If you need a free tier, the trial is your only option.
Start in the demo account, which every plan includes. It lets you test bot settings against market data without risking capital. The 3Commas blog covers strategy basics, and recent posts focus on Smart Money Concepts such as liquidity sweeps, break of structure and fair value gaps.
The TradingView connection takes some setup. You create alerts with the webhook URL format 3Commas provides. It's documented but isn't one-click, so allow an afternoon if webhooks are new to you.
This review isn't financial advice. Automated trading can lose money quickly, especially with leverage or futures, and past backtest results don't predict live performance. Only trade capital you can afford to lose.
Starter is $15/month billed annually or $20 monthly. Pro is $38 or $50, and Expert is $105 or $140.
Yes. Every plan has a free trial, and you can buy a subscription during the trial. It starts once the trial ends.
No. 3Commas says it has no access to your exchange account and cannot withdraw funds.
Yes, the popular cryptocurrencies are accepted, but recurring payments don't work with crypto.
