What is Adobe Premiere Pro?
Adobe Premiere Pro (now branded Adobe Premiere) is a professional video editing app for desktop, iPhone and Android. It covers timeline editing, color correction and grading, audio cleanup, effects, titles and captions in one application.
Its AI tools work directly on the timeline. Generative Extend lengthens clips and fills in missing ambient sound. Object Mask tracks a subject after you click on it. Media Intelligence search finds footage from a plain-language description. Text-Based Editing lets you trim and reorder clips by editing an auto-generated transcript, and Enhance Speech cleans up dialogue. Captions can be translated into 18 languages.
Premiere is sold only as a Creative Cloud subscription, either on its own or bundled with 20+ Adobe apps. A 7-day free trial is available. It suits video editors, content creators, filmmakers and production teams who need a full editing suite. Team plans add admin controls and Frame.io for review.
