OctoBot is an open-source crypto trading bot with a visual interface. It runs automated strategies such as grid trading, DCA and crypto baskets, and connects to more than 15 exchanges through the CCXT library, including Binance, Coinbase, Bybit, Hyperliquid, MEXC and KuCoin.
Trades can be driven by TradingView alerts, by technical indicators like RSI, moving averages and MACD, by social signals such as Google Trends and Reddit, or by AI models through OpenAI or local Ollama models. Before you put real funds in, you can backtest a strategy on historical data or paper trade it with simulated money.
OctoBot is written in Python and released under GPL-3.0. It installs as an executable on Windows, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi, as a Docker image, or from source. You can control it from a web interface, Telegram or the mobile apps. It suits crypto traders who want automation they can host and inspect themselves.
