What is Pipedream?

Pipedream is an integration layer for AI agents. It handles user authentication for 3,000+ APIs and gives agents more than 10,000 prebuilt tools and triggers through SDKs, a REST API, or a remote MCP server.

With its Connect product, your users authorize their accounts through a hosted Connect Link or a UI you build yourself. Pipedream stores and refreshes the credentials. Agents then call prebuilt actions, deploy triggers that send events to your webhook, or reach any endpoint through the Connect proxy. Fresh tokens are injected per user on every request. Requests run in Pipedream's managed runtime. SDKs cover TypeScript, Python and Java.

Connect is aimed at developers adding integrations to agents and SaaS apps. A second product, Conduit, is in early access. It is a gateway for companies that want employees to connect apps to AI agents, with SSO, access policies and audit trails. Building in development is free, and paid plans start when you go to production.

  • SDKs for TypeScript, Python and Java, plus REST
  • Bring your own OAuth clients
  • Credentials encrypted at rest, scoped per project

Use cases

Who it's for

AI agent developersSaaS product teamsStartups building integrationsEnterprises deploying AI internally

Giving agents access to user apps

Point an MCP client at Pipedream's remote server so an agent can act in Slack, Stripe or Gmail with each user's own connected accounts.

Launching an integration catalog

SaaS teams can offer thousands of connectors without registering OAuth apps or hosting integration infrastructure.

Real-time event ingestion

Deploy triggers, such as new Gmail emails, that send events from users' apps to your webhook.

Calling unsupported endpoints

When no prebuilt tool exists, send any HTTP request through the Connect proxy and Pipedream attaches the user's credentials.

Pipedream FAQ

Is Pipedream free?

Building and testing in development is free with full API, SDK and MCP access. Serving real users in production requires the Startup plan or higher.

How much does the Startup plan cost?

$99 per month billed annually, or $150 billed monthly. It includes 100 external users ($2 each after that) and 10,000 usage credits ($0.012 each after that).

What are usage credits?

Running an action, an MCP tool call, a proxy request or a trigger event uses 1 credit per 30 seconds of compute. Management calls don't use credits.

Does it work with MCP?

Yes. Pipedream offers a remote MCP server that works with any MCP client and has tool discovery built in.

How are credentials secured?

Credentials are encrypted at rest, scoped per project and never exposed to your app. You can revoke any account with one API call.
