How we check
We read each vendor's privacy policy, terms and security or trust pages and record whether customer content (prompts, uploads, recordings, outputs) is used to train or improve AI models. An answer is kept only with a sentence from the vendor's own pages that supports it, quoted above. Pages are re-read every two months.
“Yes, unless you opt out” means training is on by default and the vendor describes a way to turn it off. Business and enterprise plans often have different terms than the free and individual plans; the quote shows which one the vendor describes.
A vendor who sees an error can claim the listing and send a correction with the page that says otherwise.
